President Sooronbay Jeenbekov of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan received today at his residence in Makkah, the President of the Islamic Development Bank, Dr. Bandar Hajjar. The Kyrgyz President praised the bank's effective roles in supporting his country's economy through its development programs, expressing his aspiration to strengthen the partnership with the bank in order to face economic challenges, including the lack of job opportunities. For his part, Dr. Hajjar welcomed the initiative of the President of Kyrgyzstan to collaborate with the bank in various fields of economic and social development through establishing projects and developing trade and supporting programs. Dr. Hajjar pointed out that the total funds approved by the bank for Kyrgyzstan amounted to 341 million US dollars, and the bank is currently working on implementing large projects in the country in agricultural and infrastructure sectors.
