The first international symposium on autism will be organized by the Saudi Autism Charitable Society in cooperation with King Saud University at the Intercontinental Hotel here on Sept 27-29, 2004. 30 papers are expected to be discussed at the symposium. Dr Salih Al-Salihi, the Head of the scientific committee of the symposium, underscored the importance of the symposium, and said it will provide a good opportunity to exchange views on symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of cases of autism among children. He noted that specialists from America, Europe, Germany, Canada, the Arab Gulf States, Jordan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will participate in the 3-day symposium.
