Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat has put aside his differences with U.N. Mideast envoy Terje Roed-Larsen, months after the Palestinians banned the diplomat from the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Palestinians said Monday. "The conflict between the president and Larsen is now behind us," said Palestinian Foreign Minister Nabil Shaath. "Cooperation with the United Nations is very important for us." Arafat called Roed-Larsen on Sunday to invite him to visit his headquarters in Ramallah, a diplomatic source said. The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, described the conversation as "amicable." Roed-Larsen said he is looking forward to working with the Palestinians in the coming months.
