Secretary General of Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL) Dr Abdullah Bin Abdulmohsin Al-Turki received here today an Islamic Delegation From Sri Lanka, led by Governor of the Western Province Alawi Molana. They reviewed issues pertaining to the Muslims of Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, Molana briefed Dr Al-Turki on the situation of mosques, schools and Islamic universities in Sri Lanka especially in the Eastern and Northern provinces. Molana highlighted the continuous support being extended by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Muslims of Sri Lanka. On his part, Dr. Al-Turki, underscoring the importance of cooperation between the MWL and the Islamic universities and organizations in Sri Lanka, confirmed the readiness of the MWL to cooperate with the concerned authorities in Sri Lanka for the reconstruction of the mosques and schools destroyed in the Eastern and Northern Provinces of the country.
