At least one Afghan civilian was killed and three others injured in the eastern province of Nangarhar after four rockets landed near a Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) compound, the U.S. military said Saturday. Scott Nelson, a spokesman for the U.S-led military forces, told reporters in the capital Kabul that the rockets landed outside the PRT compound on Friday morning. "Local Global Security officials reported that the attack injured three local residents and killed one. Afghan National Army soldiers are assessing the damages," according to Nelson. Following the rocket attack, Nelson said, the coalition forces provided first aid to civilians who suffered minor injuries from the attack. No-one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but in the past Afghan officials blamed Taliban remnants for similar attacks. In Kabul, a spokesman for the NATO-led International Security Force (ISAF) said that its troops seized a truck-load of rockets and other munitions on the way into the capital. The spokesman, Ken MacKillop, said the seized weapons included 67 Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPG), 50 rocket motors and a rocket launcher. MacKillop said that on Tuesday, the Afghan security forces discovered a bus-load of weapons near the Kabul Olympic stadium. The owner of the bus was arrested. The seizure of the weapons came days after a powerful blast near a U.S. security company killed at least nine people, including three Americans, and injured several others. On Friday, at least one person was killed and five were injured in a bomb explosion in southern Kandahar.
