China has warned that it will take drastic action against Taiwan should Taipei takes concrete moves to seek independence, like changing Taiwan's title or amending Taiwan's constitution. Despite the risk of angering China, more and more Taiwanese are supporting the government's plan to change Taiwan's title from ROC to Taiwan. An online public opinion poll of 2,319 people by the China Times daily on Saturday showed that 61.3 per cent of the respondents to its questionnaire approved the change, while 29.9 per cent opposed it.
