Ukraine's Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych on Friday visited his troops serving in the multinational force in Iraq and met with their Polish commander, according to a news report. Ukraine, with some 1,600 troops, is the second largest contributor to the Polish-led force in south-central Iraq. Ukraine's troops are based in the city of Kut and other places in the central Wasit province, bordering Iran. Yanukovych and Ukrainian Defense Minister Yevhen Marchuk met with Polish Maj. Gen. Andrzej Ekiert in the Kut base, the Polish news agency PAP reported from Iraq.
