A delegation from the Saudi business sector began a visit to the Uzbek capital of Tashkent today, to discuss investment opportunities and the future of trade exchange between the Kingdom and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The visit is organized by the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), in cooperation with relevant Uzbek government agencies, with the participation of the Council of Saudi Chambers, a group of leading national companies and a number of Saudi businessmen. The program will include visits by the Saudi delegation to a number of Uzbek regions and cities (the capital Tashkent and Namangan province), with the aim of meeting with their Uzbek counterparts, in order to seek enhancing cooperation and exploring investment opportunities, which include a number of sectors such as energy and gas, petrochemicals, agriculture and food industries, in addition to cotton and textile industry, contracting, tourism, technology and mining.
