Kuwait's Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said that what happened in the Gulf region is a serious threat to the flow of energy supplies, pointing to the September 14 sabotage attacks on vital oil facilities in the Kingdom Saudi Arabia. In his speech at the 74th session of the United Nation General Assembly, Sheikh Jaber reiterated Kuwait's strong condemnation and denunciation of these blatant attacks, stressing Kuwait's support for all measures being taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to maintain its security and stability. He reiterated his call for the international community to shoulder its responsibilities towards securing and protecting freedom of navigation in this important region of the world and commitment to UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) , stressing that this would preserve international peace and security.
