Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salami has condemned aggressive and arrogant statements of the Prime Minister of the occupying Power (Israel) regarding his intention to annex lands from the occupied West Bank of 1967, and impose Israeli sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and the northern Dead Sea if he wins the next elections. In a statement today, Dr. Al-Salami stressed that these unacceptable statements represent a serious threat to the basis of the peace process and undermine the two-state solution, as a continuation of the policy of deliberate escalation and blatant challenge to the international community. He also added that the statements disregard the Charter of the United Nations and a flagrant violation of international conventions, treaties and principles UN Security Council.
