The General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) affirmed that it will ban importing cigarette packs unless they have obtained effective and valid tax stamps to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in collaboration with the Saudi Customs starting from Friday, August 23, 2019. This decision comes in line with rulings of implementing regulations of the selective tax relating to tax stamps within framework of the GCC Unified Agreement on selective tax.
