Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi said the countries of the region have announced their readiness to cooperate with Iran within the framework of the International Agency for Atomic Energy. In a statement carried by the Iranian media on Saturday, Karrazi pointed out that the countries of the region do realize the stance and capabilities of Iran, and added 'when we tell them that Iran has not perpetrated any violation, then they accept that fact'. Karrazi reiterated that Iran has locally developed the nuclear technology, and it has become one of the strong countries in the field of nuclear activities. 'As long as our nuclear activities take place within the framework of our commitments and under the supervision of the International Agency for Atomic Energy, then it will not be possible for any party to cause troubles for us', he said adding that 'only the Americans put pressure on the International Agency for Atomic Energy for political purposes'. Karrazi hoped that the report of the International Agency for Atomic Energy at its forthcoming meeting would be characterized by realism and give a positive impression about the Iranian nuclear activities.
