In his cable addressed to the King, he said:
In my own name and on behalf of princes and ministers the members of the Supreme Hajj Committee, Governors of Regions, security men, and all personnel of government and private agencies participating in this year's Hajj works, I extend best sincerest congratulations and expressions of loyalty on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, May Allah return it with the good and blessings.
I congratulate you on the success achieved in this year's Hajj season 1440 AH, in implementation of wise directives and according to what you are looking forward to taking care of guests of Allah and preparing all services and facilities for pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease, comfort, security and tranquility including Makkah Road Initiative launched three years ago, which was one of the fruits of your wise directives.
The number of pilgrims reached (2,489,406) pilgrims, and the Hajj season this year was characterized by the successful implementation of all security, preventive, organizational, service and traffic plans. Pilgrims arrived in Arafat, Nafra, Muzdalifa and Mina holy sites in a record time according to a strict organization and smooth streamlining, up to Jamarat (Throwing pebbles) and flocking to the Grand Holy Mosque to perform Tawaf al-Ifadah (circumambulation) and completion of their Hajj rituals.
The security situation was stable and did not witness any incidents affecting the security of pilgrims or disturbing Hajj in accordance with strict discipline and control of their conditions, movements and residences amid an integrated system of services; facilities; and security and health care; organized traffic; and in a healthy environment free of diseases and epidemics.
I pray to Allah Almighty to reward you the best reward for your great care and attention to the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors of pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors.
