The General Authority for Statistics announced today that the total number of pilgrims for this year reached 2,489,406 pilgrims, including 1,855,027 pilgrims from outside the Kingdom, while the number of domestic pilgrims reached 634,379 pilgrims, of whom 67% are non-Saudis. In the statistical results of the Hajj this year, 1440 H., the Authority stated that the number of male pilgrims from the total number of pilgrims from inside and outside reached 1,385,234 pilgrims, and the number of female pilgrims of the total number of pilgrims from inside and outside reached 1,104,172 pilgrims. Comparing the total number of pilgrims for this year 1440 H. with pilgrims last year 1439 H., the number of pilgrims this year increased by 117,731 as the total number of pilgrims in 1439 H. was 2,371,675 pilgrims, GAS said.
