Asian shares were mixed Friday, AP reported. Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 added 0.4% to finish at 20,684.82. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 gained 0.3% to 6,584.80. South Korea's Kospi added 1.1% to 1,941.95. Hong Kong's Hang Seng slipped 0.2% to 26,073.32, while the Shanghai Composite edged down 0.6% to 2,778.82. Benchmark crude rose 2 cents to $52.56 a barrel. It rose $1.45 to $52.54 a barrel Thursday. Brent crude oil, the international standard, was unchanged at $57.38 a barrel. The dollar fell slightly to 105.86 Japanese yen from 105.97 Thursday. The euro was unchanged at $1.1197.
