Duba Port received nearly 36,000 cadres since the beginning of May until the end of July 2019, who came to contribute to the service of pilgrims during this year's hajj season 1440AH, while the port achieved during July 2019 a remarkable increase in passenger transport by 60,000 passengers with a 20% increase compared to last year. Duba Port Administration strives to harness all capabilities, modern equipment and qualified cadres, as well as coordinating with government agencies working in the port and shipping agents in such seasons, to facilitate pilgrims' arrival and departure procedures in light of efforts being exerted by the Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) to enhance services of Saudi ports and increase their performance, productivity and operational and logistical capabilities. The equipment allocated for passengers' terminal, which has a capacity of 6,000 passengers per day, included 20 counters to complete passenger's arriving and departing procedures, 6 advanced devices for inspecting and transporting luggage to arrival, departure and waiting halls, 154 cars and buses, 12 marine locomotives and supporting parts to combat marine pollution, firefighting and provide safe marine navigation.
