The Kingdom of Bahrain condemned Iran's detention of a British oil tanker, in the Strait of Hormuz, saying it was a dangerous escalation and a threat to the security of navigation and violation of international law. The Bahraini cabinet, during a meeting held here today, according to the Bahraini News Agency today, said that Iran's interception of a British oil tanker, in the Strait of Hormuz, is a continuation of escalation against international shipping, in the Gulf and Strait of Hormuz, calling on the international community to exercise its role not to expose the Arab Gulf, in general, and the Strait of Hormuz, in particular, that affecting the safety of world energy supply and trade.
