The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by Department of Publications Affairs and Scholarly Research, has started its preparations for the launch of the program of distribution of publications in Hajj season of this year 1440 AH, by providing pilgrims with ritual books upon their entry into the Kingdom and distributing the gift of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques of the Holy Quran and translations of its meanings in addition to some guiding books upon their departure. The program aims at spreading the legitimate awareness among pilgrims and calling for adherence to the correct method of belief, worship and behavior, in addition to guiding pilgrims to perform their proper rituals and informing them about their religion. The Undersecretary of the Ministry for Publications and Scholarly Affairs, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Hamdan pointed out that the titles of the books approved for Hajj this year amounted to 52 titles in more than 30 languages, and more than 8,000,000 copies of the Holy Quran, translations of its meanings, ritual books and manuals will be distributed. He noted that the Islamic electronic library distributed to all international airports of the Kingdom, exit-port centers and some mosques and important sites an electronic platform that contains all the Ministry's written, read and audio versions of books of Hajj and Umrah, available to all via e.site : www.islamic-ebook.com.
