The Role of Civil Protection Bodies in Securing Tourist Facilities Conference was launched in Beirut, Lebanon, yesterday, organized by Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS), in cooperation with the Directorate General of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces, under the patronage of Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities Raya Haffar ElHassan represented by Director General of Lebanese Internal Security Forces Major General Imad Osman; and in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid bin Abdullah Bukhari, a number of ambassadors and delegations from several Arab countries. President of NAUSS Dr. Abdulmajeed bin Abdullah Al-Banyan said in a speech at the beginning of the Conference that security and safety are of the most basic requirements that tourists need, stressing the importance of providing tourism security services in tourist establishments aiming at protecting the three elements required by tourist security including human resources, properties and facilities; the surrounding environment; and the role of security services in general.
