Asian shares were mixed Tuesday, AP reported. Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 lost 0.6% to 21,546.25 in afternoon trading. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 lost nearly 0.1% to 6,646.40. South Korea's Kospi added 0.3% to 2,089.34 and Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 0.2% to 28,613.72, while the Shanghai Composite shed 0.2% to 2,937.00. Benchmark U.S. crude fell 8 cents at $59.50 a barrel. It fell 63 cents on Monday. Brent crude, the international standard, was unchanged at $66.48 a barrel. The dollar inched up to 108.02 Japanese yen from 107.98 late Monday. The euro rose to $1.1260 from $1.1277.
