Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai has promised to repatriate 400 Pakistani prisoners who fought with the former ruling Taliban regime and have been held in Afghan jails since 2001, a Pakistani official said Tuesday. In return, Pakistani Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain ordered the release of nearly 250 Afghans held for minor or consular offenses, the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan reported. The agreement came during talks between Hussain and Karzai, who is on a two-day visit to Pakistan.
