The United States today condemned the terrorist attack on Abha International Airport by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia. A statement issued by the US State Department on behalf of Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo said that the Houthi rebels backed by Iran launched a drone attack on Abha International Airport for the second time in less than two weeks, and preliminary reports indicate the death of one person and wounding of 21 others. The Iranian-backed attacks are unacceptable, and they are more reprehensible because they target innocent civilians, it said. The statement called on the Houthis to end these reckless and provocative attacks on behalf of the Iranian regime, saying "the Houthis must engage constructively in the political process led by the United Nations to end the conflict and abide by the commitments made in Sweden."
