Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf met here today with Georgian Foreign Minister, David Zalkaliani. During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways of strengthening and developing them. Dr. Al-Assaf gave a speech to journalists and media, during which he expressed the interest of Saudi Arabia in developing bilateral relations between the two countries in the economic and tourism aspects. For his part, the Georgian Foreign Minister welcomed Minister Al-Assaf and his accompanying delegation and expressed the Georgian government's interest in developing relations between the two countries in many aspects. The Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf also discussed with Georgian Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Georgia Volski the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of enhancing cooperation in the fields of parliamentary diplomacy. The meeting was attended by Foreign Ministry's Undersecretary for Protocol Affairs Azzam bin Abdulkarim Al-Qain, Saudi Ambassador to Georgia Abdullah Al-Mutairi and a number of officials.
