Participants in the 16th session of the Senior Officials Meeting of the Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum and the 5th session of the Strategic Dialogue, hosted by Abu Dhabi, condemned here today the terrorist acts which targeted two oil pumping stations, in Riyadh, and the attack on the passenger terminal, at Abha International Airport, in addition to attacks on civil and commercial ships, in the territorial waters of the United Arab Emirates and in the Gulf of Oman. The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meeting, was led by the Saudi Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the League of Arab States Osama bin Ahmed Nuqali. In their concluding recommendations, participants stressed the need for international cooperation to prevent the recurrence of such terrorist acts as they posed a threat to the security of international maritime navigation, global energy supplies and the global economy, as well as undermining security and stability, in the region. Such acts are done in a flagrant violations of the norms of international law and in particular the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, the meeting announced.
