GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani has strongly condemned attacks targeting two oil tankers, in the Gulf of Oman, describing them as a dangerous escalation, a violation of all international norms and laws and a direct threat to the freedom of navigation and world energy supplies, in addition to jeopardizing regional and international security and peace. Al-Zayani said that these attacks are terrorist acts that call for a firm, crucial and deterrent response by the international community to protect the international navigation routes, in this vital region of the world.
