Uzbek Ambassador Welcomes Holding Makkah Summit

Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ologebek Maksudov welcomed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's hosting of the 14th Islamic Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to be held in Makkah under the chairmanship of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
In a press statement, Ambassador Ologebek stressed the importance of the summit, which is being held in the current circumstances, to confront the challenges facing the Islamic world and strengthen the relations among countries, pointing out to the strong relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan, which began in 1992 and developed under the guidance and support of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
