Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques: Religion is Purified Law and Not an Arbitrary Opinion, KSA Condemns All Forms of Extremism, Violence and Terrorism, and Confronts Them with Thought, Determination and Seriousness
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has condemned all forms of extremism, violence and terrorism, confronted them with thought, determination and seriousness, affirmed that Islam is innocent of these acts, called to prevail the values of justice over all human societies and worked to promote the peace and coexistence among all people, where the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has established international intellectual centers and platforms. This came in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques's speech here today in the opening ceremony of the international conference held under his patronage on "Values of Moderation in the Texts of the Quran and the Sunnah" and declaration of "Makkah Document", which is organized by the Muslim World League. The speech was delivered on the King behalf by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, who conveyed the greetings of the King and delivered the following speech: Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad Dear attendees, May Allah's peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you. It is my pleasure to welcome you in Umm Al-Qura (Makkah) during the blessings of this holy month, where the honor of the place and the time come together. You succeeded to choose "Values of Moderation in the Texts of Quran and Sunnah" as a theme for the conference. Those values that underlie the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which still confirm the integrity of this approach and its role to protect our country and to achieve its security, prosperity and power in facing all attempts to mislead the community to be away from this moderation of our Islamic religion, and emphasis on the purity of Islamic law of every foreign thought as a result of believing that the religion is a purified law and not an arbitrary opinion, and that every opinion is not absolutely infallible, with our appreciation of the scholars and intellectuals opinions based on clear evidences, which enriched the Islamic and human sciences. --More 18:06 LOCAL TIME 15:06 GMT 0020 www.spa.gov.sa/1928590
