The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's call to the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Arab League states for holding two emergency summits in Makkah on Thursday 25th of Ramadan 1440 AH, corresponding to May 30, 2019, to discuss the critical circumstances the region going through and their consequences on regional peace and stability. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in a statement, has said that this initiative is not strange to the Saudi leadership, which has long been keen to establish security and peace in the region The Ministry praised the leadership role of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in unifying Arab ranks and coordinating Arab stances. The Ministry added that the current critical circumstances entail a unified Arab and Gulf stance toward the besetting challenges and risks, and the call of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is a significant opportunity for the countries of the region to achieve their aspirations for establishing peace and stability and ensuring our joint security, sovereignty and achievements.
