Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that the amount of 50 million riyals provided by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense for restoring 56 ramshackle buildings in old houses of historic Jeddah in its first phase indicates the keenness of the leadership on the heritage and history of all parts of the homeland. Al-Yaum newspaper said in its editorial entitled ''Maritime piracy and its subversive crimes'' that the blatant assault on two Saudi oil tankers on Sunday morning, while crossing the Arabian Gulf in the UAE's territorial waters near Fujairah, was a clear threat to maritime navigation and oil supplying to consumers around the world. The paper noted that a number of Arab and friendly countries have strongly condemned this criminal act, and such act of sabotage against commercial ships is seen as a serious maritime piracy that must be confronted by collective international firm deterrent.
