President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi received here today the Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, currently on an official visit to Pakistan. At the outset of the meeting, President Dr. Arif Alvi expressed thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the generous hospitality accorded to him during his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and for the services provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to pilgrims in general and Pakistani pilgrims in particular. For his part, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh praised the good hospitality extended to him and the accompanying delegation by the Pakistani President, affirming the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's keenness to strengthen relations and develop them for the interest of the two countries and their peoples. During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of mutual interest and means of enhancing the bilateral relations between the two countries. The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, members of the Speaker of the Shura Council's accompanying delegation and a number of members of the Senate of Pakistan.
