Sudan's Vice President Ali Othman Taha met here today a delegation of the Muslim World League led by its Secretary General Dr Abdullah bin Abdulmohsin Al-Turki. During the meeting, the Vice President noted the efforts of Sudan in Darfur, especially as regards the current negotiations. He said the failure of the agreement was prompted by foreign quarters which are bent upon side-tracking the Zionist crimes in the Palestinian lands. He also referred to several projects which have been undertaken in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and other organizations. Dr. Al-Turki noted that the MWL's delegation that visited a number of camps in Darfur had found that refugees had a desire to return voluntarily to their villages. He also affirmed that the league would work with other Islamic organizations to resolve the problem of Darfur.
