Eng. Majid Mohammed AlMazyad, Acting Governor of Communication and Information Technology Commission (CITC) opened here today the workshop on Internet Society (ISOC) activities. He reiterated in his speech the Kingdom's appreciation to host such privileged meetings. For her part, Sally Wentworth, ISOC Vice President of Global Policy Development thanked the Kingdom, the host country, and CITC, the host institution. She pointed in her speech to the active role of ISOC to connect the world and form its digital future. The ISOC workshops strive to discuss unified Arab policies in adopting new methods in information technologies and uphold digital transformation. They also discuss core issues in building digital societies in the Arab world namely adopting world and regional strategies and policies, addressing security and organizational challenges, finding opportunities in Government E-services and E-commerce as well as examining the experiences of a number of Arab countries, in this regard covering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, State of Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman and Kingdom of Bahrain.
