The Georgian Foreign Ministry sent another note of protest to Moscow over what it described as the second violation of Georgian airspace in as many days by a military aircraft from Russian territory. Tbilisi said that an "unidentified military plane" breached Georgian airspace over South Ossetia on Saturday afternoon. The plane flew around Tskhinvali, the capital of the breakaway South Ossetia region, and surrounding villages for about 10 minutes before heading back over the Georgian-Russian border, the Foreign Ministry said. "The Georgian Foreign Ministry considers it necessary to remind the international community that Georgian air space has been breached repeatedly from the side of Russia," the note of protest said. This former Soviet republic on Friday made a similar complaint after another alleged intrusion, and Foreign Minister Irakly Okruashvili had warned that Tbilisi reserved the right to "take all measures" necessary to prevent a reoccurrence. He cited last weekend's incident when a Georgian patrol boat opened fire on a civilian vessel off the cost of Abkhazia after it failed to obey orders to stop for a check _ in an apparent warning that Georgia was also prepared to fire on any violating planes. --more 1303 Local Time 1003 GMT
