Official spokesman of the Joint Peninsula Shield Drill 10 Brigadier Abdullah bin Hussein Al-Subaie highlighted the drill during a press conference held today in Jubail. He offered a detailed presentation on the phases of the drill, in which the Saudi armed forces and security sectors participated, in addition to land, maritime and air forces of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. He added that the drill includes four basic phases: phase one is the academic training drill, including conferences for all participating forces from all GCC countries. The second phase is the simulation drill. The third phase is the field training with live ammunition, and the fourth and last phase includes the closing ceremony and departure of participating forces. The press conference was attended by a number of military leaders and media men and women.
