General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) has participated in the fourth meeting of the International Comparison Program (ICP) board of directors held recently in New York, USA, it was reported here today. The ICP board comprises eleven members including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which represents Western Asia to the board, said Dr. Fahd bin Sulaiman Al-Tekhaifi, adding that the meeting discussed the progress reached so far in implementing ICP training course for the year 2017, strategies in communication and publishing in addition to preparation for forthcoming session in 2020. The selection of Saudi Arabia to represent Western Asia in ICP board for the year 2017-2019 session comes as recognition of GASTAS in statistical programs organized by the United Nations, Al Tekhaifi added. It also an affirmation of the Kingdom's active role in the world's emerging statistics map, he said.
