Brazilian leader's motorcade hits 83-year-old man

A car from the motorcade of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva ran over an 83-year-old man on Friday, seriously injuring him, the official news agency Agencia Brasil reported.
Lula asked his personal doctor to accompany the man to the hospital in Belo Horizonte, the capital of Minas Gerais state where he was visiting, Agencia Brasil said. The man was in a serious condition, it added.
