Statistical reports issued by "Riyadh Airports Company" said that King Khalid International Airport has witnessed growth rates in the number of passengers and flights during the past year, and its annual performance culminated in records reflecting its ability to continue its positive performance in the coming years. According to the statistics, the total number of passengers departing and arriving at King Khalid International Airport exceeded 26 million passengers, registering a growth rate by 5.53% compared to 2017 at a daily rate of 72,932 passengers, pointing out that the total number of passengers on domestic flights increased by 8.39% and passengers traveling through international flights during 2018 increased by 2.21%, compared to 2017. The reports showed that the total number of flights reached 212,632 at the end of 2018, recording a growth by 4.93 % compared to 2017 at a daily rate of 583 flights. The total domestic flights increased by 5.55% compared to 2017, while the rate of increase in the total number of international flights reached 3.43% compared to the same period. At the level of commitment, King Khalid International Airport was able to achieve the 11th position among the world's top airports in compliance with departure and arrival flight schedules (OTP) according to the report from the Official Airlines Guide (OAG) which reported that King Khalid International Airport is one of the top 20 airports in the world in terms of departures and arrivals within the large airports category "Large Airports".
