Iraqi oil pipeline damaged in attack

Unidentified assailants blew up part of an oil pipeline near Bayji, about 200 kilometers north of Baghdad, police confirmed Tuesday.
The attackers used explosives to blast a hole into the pipeline late on Monday.
The pipeline was still on fire Tuesday and the transport of crude oil from the Kirkuk region to the refinery in Bayji - Iraq's second largest refinery - was interrupted, police said.
