The Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources participated in the Investing in African Mining (INDABA) Exhibition, which is being held in Cape Town, South Africa, during 4-7 February, 2019, with a delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs Engineer Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer, amidst a large international presence of presidents and leaders of a number of countries and mining ministers from around the world. The participation follows the launch of a new national mining strategy within the framework of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which is a comprehensive strategy based on the pursuit of economic diversification and sustainable growth in the Kingdom. Among the activities of the Exhibition was the opportunity to explore the Kingdom and its diverse heritage by organizing a Saudi evening at INDABA, where it included the traditional Saudi music, which is characterized by folkloric dances from different regions of the Kingdom. Arabic coffee, the symbol of hospitality in the Kingdom, was also presented from Jizan, along with local food items, as well as traditional jewelry, carvings, roses, jasmine and many other exhibits that show the rich Saudi heritage.
