The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz has sent a cable of congratulations to Niger's President Mamadou Tandja on the anniversary of his country's independence. In his own name and on behalf of the people and government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, King Fahd wished the president permanent health and happiness and the Nigeran people steady progress and prosperity. The monarch also lauded relations binding the two friendly countries and their peoples.
