Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Ahsa has received the International Certificate of Accreditation of the Artificial Cardiac Care Program by the Joint International Commission for Accreditation of Health Establishments in the United States of America, achieving 99.9% to be the first achievement in the Middle East and the world outside the United States of America. The Director of the Cardiac Transplant Program, Director of Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Ahsa, Dr. Khalid Al-Khamis, praised the support being provided by the Government for the health sector in the Kingdom to upgrade health services. The heart transplantation program at the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Ahsa started in the middle of 2017 after being approved and included in surgical treatment services for patients with heart failure. The artificial heart transplant program at the Center is associated with continuous medical cooperation with international centers in the same specialty, placing it in the ranks of leading centers in the artificial of industrial heart transplantation and circulatory support systems. The Artificial Heart Transplantation Program at Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Ahsa is the only center in the Middle East listed in the European Society of Cardiology database, which has received a wide acclaim from international medical centers such as the Cleveland Clinic in the United States of America.
