Buoyed by unlimited encouragement of the country's leadership, the Saudi diplomacy, was once more, successful to create a new regional security entity to safeguard the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, Adel bin Ahmad Al-Jubeir, Minister of Foreign Affairs, disclosed after coming out of a meeting that gathered foreign ministers of seven Arab and African countries overlooking the strategic water routes. The meeting of the Arab and African Coastal States of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden (AARSGA) attracted Sameh Shukri, Foreign Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt; Mahmoud Ali Yousef, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Djibouti; Ahmed Issa Awad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Somalia; Al-Dirdiri Mohamed Al-Dakhiri, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Sudan; Ambassador Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Hadrami, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Yemen; and Ambassador Zaid Mufleh Al-Lozi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. During the meeting, the foreign ministers discussed a proposal to establish an entity for (AARSGA). They also discussed aspects of cooperation among their states. In remarks following the meeting, Al-Jubeir disclosed that the foreign ministers agreed on the importance of establishing this entity which is a step aiming at enhancing security, stability, trade and investment in the region. He also extended congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, affirming that this entity reflects the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' vision to consolidate coordination and cooperation among the participating countries.
