The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah palace in Riyadh on Tuesday afternoon. During the meeting, the King briefed the Cabinet on the contents of a message he has received from President Beji Caid Essebsi of the Tunisian Republic. The Cabinet commended the speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at the inauguration of the summit of the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States at its 39th session in Riyadh. The King expressed his confidence in the keenness of all to preserve the GCC entity and enhance its role in the present and future. The King stressed the importance of exploiting capabilities to serve GCC peoples and maintain the security and stability of their countries and the region against challenges and threats of extremist and terrorist forces continuing to threaten the Gulf and Arab common security. At the summit, the King also highlighted Iranian regime's aggressive policies in sponsoring these forces and its interfering in the internal affairs of other countries, requiring maintaining gains and working together with partners to preserve security and stability in the region and the world. The Minister of Media Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session that the Cabinet welcomed the final statement of the summit of leaders of the GCC Arab States at its 39th session "Riyadh Declaration".
