Relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt are characterized by a high status due to their position on the political and geographical map at the Arab, Islamic and international levels. The positions of the two brotherly countries are identical on regional issues in all their aspects and their relations are growing stronger in the future with support by the leaders of the two countries under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. In the historical context, Mount Radwa in the north west of the Kingdom witnessed the first historic meeting between late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud and King Farouk King of Egypt in 1945, during which they laid the firm policy for the future of bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Egypt. King Abdul Aziz and King Farouk agreed to the Arab League, and King Abdul Aziz agreed to the Alexandria Protocol, and their meeting resulted in King Abdul Aziz's final approval of the accession of Saudi Arabia to the Arab League. The visits between the two leaderships in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt confirm the depth of the historical relations between the two brotherly countries. Cooperation between the two countries in various fields highlights strength of the Saudi-Egyptian relations.
