The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) once again utterly condemned the continuing criminal violence and senseless chain of killing in Afghanistan. After the ruthless killing of 55 religious scholars by a suicide bomber in Kabul in a gathering of prayers on November 20, another huge explosion ripped through a mosque inside an army base in the province of Khost killing at least 27 soldiers and wounding over 50 during Friday prayers on November 23. The OIC Secretary General Dr. Youssef al Othaimeen noted that such cowardly attacks targeting defenseless civilians and people in mosques must stop and those responsible must be brought to justice. The Secretary General reiterated OIC's unwavering stand against terrorism and violence in all its forms and manifestations and conveyed the Muslim ummah's condolences to Afghanistan.
