As many as 20 members of the armed wing of the Houthi militias, backed by Iran, were killed by the Yemeni army on Sunni front, in the province of al-Baidah, in central Yemen. The commander of Brigade 117, Brigadier General Saleh al-Aradi said that the dead militias' members fell during a clash with the Yemeni National Army forces, in front of the border. Brigadier General al-Aradi added in a statement to the Yemeni Army website that the Yemeni forces managed to prevent infiltration attempt by the Iranian-backed Houthi militias into the army positions, killing 20 militia militants, including commanders. He pledged to continue military operations and progress until the liberation of the province of al-Baidah from the hands of the pro-coup militias.
