The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stressed the need for the United Nations and the international community to take a decisive and urgent decision to commit Israel to the peace process, stop settlement projects, lift the unjust siege on Gaza, stop violating the rights of the Palestinian people and end the occupation of the Palestinian territories and the rest of the Arab territories. This came in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's speech on behalf of the Arab Group, which was delivered by Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Mouallimi, before the Special Political and Decolonization Committee on the item on the report of the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories. He said that the reports submitted to the Fourth Committee confirm the continued Israeli violations of international resolutions and the continued violation of the basic human rights of the Palestinian people, as the Israeli authorities continue to use excessive force indiscriminately against children, women and the elderly. He pointed out that the Arab countries are following with great concern the consecutive and serious developments of the Palestinian cause as a result of Israel's continued settlement expansion, demolition of houses, confiscation of land, judaization of the of Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as well as serious breaches of international law, ignoring the resolutions of international legitimacy, and its public defiance and disregard for them, which undermined the chances of success of many serious political negotiations, stressing that this is not strange to the Israeli occupation authorities, that rejected the Arab peace initiative and many other international references as a basis for achieving peace.
