Saudi Arabian national football team U-19 qualified for the Youth World Cup scheduled for Poland next year after beating Australia 3-1 within the quarter-finals of AFC U-19 Championship held in Indonesia. Saudi Arabia began the game more convincingly than the Australian team with a 7th minute goal by Turki Al-Ammar well before Asutralian side gets the equalizer to end the first half to a draw 1-1. Feras Al-Birikan and Saud Abdulhamid consecutively scored to give the Saudi side the lead again in the second half and end the match 3-1. The result sets up a semi-final showdown between Saudi Arabia and Japan in Bogor on Thursday.
