The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Tuesday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the King briefed the Cabinet on the telephone call with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the message received from him, the outcomes of his talks with Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina Wajed and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan, and the message received from President Joao Lourenco of the Republic of Angola. The Cabinet stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was founded on an approach derived from the Islamic Sharia whose provisions are based on achieving the right, enhancing the pillars and values of justice and its criteria and strengthening its foundations, stressing that the directives and royal orders following the tragic incident that claimed the life of citizen Jamal Khashoggi and the measures taken by the Kingdom to clarify the truth and hold accountable the negligent person, whoever might be, embody the interest of the leadership and its keenness on the safety and security of all citizens of the homeland and reflect its determination that these measures do not stop at holding accountable negligent persons and direct officials, but also include corrective actions in this regard. The Cabinet commended the King's directive to form a ministerial committee under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Council of Political and Security Affairs to restructure the General Intelligence Presidency, modernize and set regulations precisely to ensure the proper functioning of the work and setting of responsibilities. --More 16:14 LOCAL TIME 13:14 GMT 0012 www.spa.gov.sa/1832767
