Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial titled '' The Global Growth needs the Kingdom'' that we are talking on this affair about qualitative and quantitative growth, as the economy would be generally productive and investing goods and services, noting that despite the economic downturn in 2017, the banking sector maintained its performance and tourism sector has grown significantly. The paper added that in 2018, the harvest is ripe, the momentum has emerged and growth with the International Monetary Fund's testimony is beginning to come true, as its expectations point to 2.2 percent growth this year 2018, compared to a 0.7 percent contraction last year, and the first real rates of unemployment reduction were announced by the Minister of Labor a few days ago, and therefore the Fund continues its positive expectations that the rate of increase will continue to reach 2.4% in 2019 . The paper concluded that HRH Crown Prince's interview with Bloomberg Agency reflects best and strong confirmations of these achievements and successful developmental plans. On another topic, Al-Yaum newspaper wrote in its editorial that false reports concerning the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi and fabricated by some agencies have not seemed realistic or reasonable and the investigations of his disappearance which have not completed so far could be enough to reveal many facts as rumors would not reflect the truth, but they are mere conclusions that are not based on reality, but on media consumption and tendentious rumors. The paper added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been keen on investigating of this issue to reach the desired facts and not to pay attention to various allegations and tendentious rumors that will not change anything.
